Creative ad and marketing translation benefits from dual country servicing.

The UK’s largest specialist adaptation and transcreation agency, Mother Tongue Writers, is continuing its expansion programme by opening a new branch in
Germany.

This follows the establishment of headquarters in New York and Singapore over the last 18 months.

Judith Händeler is the head of Mother Tongue Germany, based in Düsseldorf. Formerly, she was the German Account Handler at Mother Tongue Writers in London for six years before she returned to her native country as Senior
Project Manager of German ad agency Köhler Kommunikation Werbeagentur GmbH for three years.

“Although we have great German account handlers in the London office, and we will handle a considerable amount of German business in the UK still, we find many German clients can be reluctant to call an English telephone number and to speak English initially on the phone. This is despite the fact that good English skills are usually part of the job description for any account handler working in a German ad agency,” explains Judith Händeler.

“Providing on the ground quality creative translations in Germany is already proving to be complementary to, rather than competing with, our London office,” says Guy Gilpin, managing director of Mother Tongue Writers.

Mother Tongue Writers was founded in the UK by Guy Gilpin and Mirella Hogan, both ex-Saatchi, who have build the business successfully over 20 years to be the standard setter for the ad industry for accuracy, creativity, high quality, high speed and reliability.
