If you work in a team you'll know that getting along with colleagues can be difficult at times. Pressure at work and home can contribute to personality clashes that we would all prefer to avoid.
Cotswold Conference Centre is launching a new fun but useful “Eye-Opener” tool for Team Leaders and Training Managers to help staff understand and deal with conflicts without confrontation. Based around the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator™ which is widely used for psychometric analysis, “Personality in Action” helps delegates understand their own personal preferences as well as those of their colleagues.
This new “Eye-Opener” is one of 5 new short but effective activities available at Cotswold Conference Centre from April 2007. Lasting only 10-30 minutes, these exercises are in addition to 6 existing “Eye-Openers” that have proved extremely popular with their clients. The Centre is a residential training venue in 300 acres of Cotswold countryside.
Sales Manager, Nick Akerman explains:- "Experiential team-building at Cotswold Conference Centre is very unique and delegates often appreciate a short 20-30 minute break to get some fresh air and reconnect with colleagues whilst taking part in one of the challenges".
"I'm not crazy I'm just not you!" and other new “Eye-Openers” are being launched at the HRD Exhibition, Excel, London 17-19 April 2007. Designed for groups of 5 or more the activities can be run without supervision although facilitators are available by arrangement. The Centre has 7 meeting rooms and parking for 140 cars.
It is not necessary to be resident at Cotswold Conference Centre to book "Eye-Opener" activities. Cotswold Conference Centre is a member of Conference Centres of Excellence and an affiliate member of the British Association of Conference Destinations. Notes to Editors: Cotswold Conference Centre (CCC) was launched in January 2001.
The facilities have developed over the past 30 years from humble beginnings as the residential training school for Group 4 Total Security. The centre now boasts 53 well-appointed en-suite rooms from four charming locations on site, which are set within over 300 breathtaking acres of Cotswold Scenery with stunning views across the Vale of Evesham.
The conference centre is the perfect learning environment with a village feel and offers meeting rooms with natural daylight, equipment and support from a small, friendly team. CCC has been recognised as an Investor in People and the team at CCC were recently inspected and accredited with Hospitality Assured.
Last year, CCC were a finalist for the Training Venue of the Year Award at the World of Learning Show at the NEC. In September 2004, CCC were delighted to have been awarded a Gold Award at The Heart of England Excellence in Tourism Awards ceremony in the Business Tourism category.
This recognition took CCC forward to the 2005 national awards hosted by VisitBritain and, again, they won the Gold Award. On most weekends throughout the year, the site hosts a range of weekend leisure courses in subjects from Art to Zen.
